Friday's Poem: "Written By Moonlight"

Written by Moonlight
By Danielle Frézier

Rays of the moon drip milk
onto the smooth black surface of the lake.
No scrying mirror ever held
its depths and breadths.

Pen races over paper
in the frantic attempt
to capture moments of beauty;
snapshots of memory.

Quill and parchment would suit
as the scribe toils in the night
dark hair falling over her shoulder
capturing heartsong; capturing hope;
waiting for her consort.

Danielle Frézier is at her best in the moonlight. She does not have a website . . .yet.
